- Health Care: PRASAD Chikitsa inaugurated the Dermatology Department to provide diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the skin.
- Nutrition: The Milk Project, which delivered milk for children started in 1984, expanded to become the Nutrition Program, which provides milk and nutritional supplements.
- PRASAD Chikitsa: PRASAD Chikitsa celebrated its 20th Anniversary on July 27, 2014.
- Community Development: PRASAD Chikitsa launched a Model Village Initiative which seeks to offer support to the villagers in ways that directly affect their lives, and demonstrate the health, social and economical benefits to other villagers.

- Health care: PRASAD Chikitsa moved its medical facilities into one building, establishing a consolidated hub for service to improve access for patients.
2012
- All Programs: The PRASAD Project celebrates its 20th anniversary on March 13, 2012. The occasion is marked with special events, publications and activities throughout the year
- The PRASAD Project joins Clinton Global Initiative (CGI): The PRASAD Project, in partnership with PRASAD Chikitsa, successfully applies for complimentary membership ($10,000 value) in the CGI. PRASAD makes a Commitment to Action – a plan to address a specific global challenge. Our commitment is, “A Budding Interest: Organic Farming in the Tansa Valley of India.”
- Sustainable Development: Organic farming initiative
2011
- Sustainable Development: PRASAD initiates a Smokeless Stove (Chulha) Campaign to reduce household air pollution and drudgery among the women in our catchment area.
- Community Health: PRASAD Chikitsa begins the Aarogyavardhini (AV) Trainings. The term means, literally, “Improver of Health.” AV’s undergo a six-day training program that will qualify them to connect the people of their communities to the appropriate services at PRASAD’s Family Health Centre.

- Community Health: PRASAD Midwife Program expands and evolves into the Accredited Social Health Activist Training Program.
- Community Health: Maharashtra government recognizes the tuberculosis program as Designated Microscopy & Treatment Centre;
2009
- Community Health: PRASAD Chikitsa expands the Family Health Centre with donor support and a grant from Abbot Laboratories in partnership with Direct Relief International.
- Community Health: PRASAD Chikitsa Awarded Best NGO in HIV prevention by the Indian Government
2008
- Community Development: Leaders of the Self-Help Groups form the first SHG Clusters to support the more than 3,000 women who participate in this PRASAD Chikitsa Community Development Program.
- Community Development: PRASAD Chikitsa starts two new initiatives to support agricultural development in the Tansa Valley: the Farmer Club and the Orchard initiative.
- Community Health: The Shree Muktananda Mobile Hospital celebrates its 30th anniversary.
2006
- Eye Project: Cataract Eradication from Tansa Valley: PRASAD Chikitsa expands the scope of the Eye Project to include the most remote areas. Staff and volunteers initiate preventive measures and motivate people to seek prompt treatment for cataract-related blindness and other eye ailments.
- Community Development: PRASAD Chikitsa helps to set up more than 250 Self–Help Groups (SHGs) in the Tansa Valley under its Community Development Program. These SHGs are bringing about a dramatic, social transformation through micro-financing, health, hygiene and nutrition programs and networking support.
2005
- HIV Program: PRASAD Chikitsa commences a collaborative project with two local public health centres to detect HIV among pregnant women and help save their unborn children. The program administers free, prenatal blood tests to all pregnant women who give informed consent.
2004
- HIV Program: PRASAD Chikitsa begins its HIV program in the Tansa Valley.
2003
- PRASAD España: PRASAD España (Spain) is incorporated and helps to raise funds, for PRASAD programs in India.
- Gurudev Siddha Peeth Netra Chikitsa Eye Hospital: India Inaugurated in Ganeshpuri. The Eye Hospital performs over 2,000 sight-restoring operations each year and treats more than 35,000 patients.
2002
- PRASAD Australia: PRASAD Australia is incorporated to raise funds for PRASAD programs in India.
- Maternal Child Health Program: The main goal of this program is to ensure safe delivery and post-partum recovery for mothers and their babies. This program continues as the Reproductive and Child Health program.
- Midwife Training Program: PRASAD Chikitsa conducts its first training program for midwives – known as ‘dais’ – in the Tansa Valley.
2001
- Diagnostic Centre: PRASAD Chikitsa opens a new diagnostic centre in Akloli, offering X-rays and lab tests to those living in the Tansa Valley.
- PRASAD Italia: PRASAD Italia is incorporated and helps to raise funds for PRASAD programs in India.
- Community Development: PRASAD Chikitsa’s Community Development Program expands to include Self-Help Groups, micro-banking, agricultural training and networking support.
2000
- Netraprakash Eye Clinic: The Netraprakash Eye Clinic opens in the village of Akloli, in Maharashtra. In 2001, the clinic begins sponsoring small-scale eye camps several times a year. The clinic treats approximately 100 patients at each camp.
1990s
- 1999: School for Girls: To educate girls from economically disadvantaged families, PRASAD Chikitsa builds additional classrooms and offices at the School for Girls in Vajreshwari (Maharashtra).
- 1998: Cultural Arts Program: The Kalakendra Arts and Crafts Program is introduced to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Tansa Valley, while also providing opportunities for self-expression and increasing employment options.
- 1997: Rehabilitation Program: PRASAD, in partnership with the Indian government, launches a rehabilitation program for people with physical disabilities. PRASAD provided treatment and aids such as wheelchairs and crutches to increase their self-reliance.
- 1996: PRASAD Bhojan Meals Program: PRASAD Chikitsa begins the Bhojan Meals Program in response to the widespread malnutrition among patients seen by doctors at the mobile hospital. Now called the Nutrition Program, several women’s Self-Help Groups run it, and serve as many as 3,000 meals, mainly to children, each month.
- 1996: PRASAD France: PRASAD France is incorporated to support and participate in PRASAD programs throughout the world.
- 1994: PRASAD Chikitsa Charitable Trust: On July 27, 1994 PRASAD Chikitsa was established as a Charitable Trust to expand and continue its health care and community initiatives in the Tansa Valley, India.
- 1992: The PRASAD Project – United States: The PRASAD Project is incorporated in the United States as an not-for-profit organization to make PRASAD’s work available to communities around the world.
- 1991: Scholarship Program: The Scholarship and Academic Awards Program provides academic and vocational scholarships for promising elementary and secondary school students in the Tansa Valley.
- 1991: Mobile Dental Clinic: Now located in the Anukaampa Health Centre, the program serves as many as 4,500 individuals each year.

1960s – 1980s
- 1984: Milk for Children Project: PRASAD starts a program to supply enriched milk to children in the Tansa Valley to help them get a healthy start in life. For many children, this milk is their main source of protein and nutrition, and is an incentive to attend school.
- 1984: Tuberculosis Program: PRASAD opens a tuberculosis clinic in response to an alarming rise in the number of local people affected by the disease. Unchecked and untreated, TB can destroy entire families. PRASAD’s TB program has helped many people to rebuild their lives. By 2008, Anukampaa doctors achieve a cure rate of 96 percent.
- 1980s: Community Development: PRASAD begins community development work when it helps 200 families in Usgaon, Maharashtra, to resurface the road, plant trees, rebuild a school and restock a pond with fish. PRASAD also educates families about how they can take responsibility to improve their own lives.
- 1978: Muktananda Mobile Hospital: This clinic-on-wheels brings medical care and treatment within the reach of villagers in the Tansa Valley, who used to have great difficulty in accessing such care. As of 2010, the clinic treats 500–700 patients a month.
- 1960s: Housing for Villagers in Tansa: PRASAD rebuilds the dilapidated homes of nearly 1,000 poor families, and provides them with food, clothing and blankets. We continued building homes for under-privileged families into the 1970s.
